How to use Zoom lighting

Open Zoom Lighting — default is Warm ~4000K at 100% brightness for soft indoor fill.

Match your room: Cool for grey offices, Neutral for daylight-balanced soft key on camera.

Enable Keep screen awake so the light does not dim mid-call (when the browser supports it).

Enter fullscreen; chrome hides so only the light field remains for Zoom, Meet, or Teams.

FAQ

Why default to Warm 4000K?

Soft indoor fill feels natural for desk setups and evening rooms. Switch Neutral (~5600K) if you want cooler camera-balanced light.

Does Wake Lock work everywhere?

When unsupported, it fails silently — you can still use brightness and temperature.

Will this change my OS brightness?

No. Adjustments stay on the page only.

Is this better than a plain white screen for video calls?

Usually yes — Zoom Lighting adds brightness, color temperature, and optional wake lock so the fill light stays usable through the call.
